Iker Mincho came out of the goal and Tao Kuan Hai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute Lennie Buckler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Matthew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kang Feng received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lennie Buckler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Matthew read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to Huarriors AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Stig-Ove Mager hit a great ball. Kang Feng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Matthew having to interfere. David Matthew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kang Feng in the 38th minute of the match. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Iker Mincho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Rojelio in the 42nd minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Raimundo Rojelio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Mincho. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Rojelio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.
