Vanyo Uzunski made a great header on Miraflores's corner, it was just that Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vanyo Uzunski in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Pelayo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Vanyo Uzunski put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Pelayo. Gianluigi Núñez Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Bernat in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Mazuste in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Pelayo saved Stellenbosch from getting behind. In the 41st minute, Osvaldo Bernat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stellenbosch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Gianluigi Núñez Herrera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldo Bernat went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The Miraflores players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stellenbosch were winning 2-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Bernat was the one to do the kick off. Osvaldo Bernat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gianluigi Núñez Herrera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Bernat recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gianluigi Núñez Herrera. Osvaldo Bernat showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. After 60 played minutes Miraflores got a freekick which was hit by Vanyo Uzunski. Stellenbosch's Luca Savini was substituted for Severo Mingo. In the 62nd minute, Flóki Cabezudo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gianluigi Núñez Herrera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Gianluigi Núñez Herrera made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Flóki Cabezudo sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Mazuste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Pelayo was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 85th minute Benjamin Mazuste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flóki Cabezudo scored 2-7 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gianluigi Núñez Herrera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Flóki Cabezudo might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gianluigi Núñez Herrera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flóki Cabezudo ran back to his position shaking his head. Gianluigi Núñez Herrera made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Flóki Cabezudo sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Stellenbosch walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
