With a little luck, Cuervo Loco FC's Bogdan Stelea got control of the ball when Faustino Sayveon tried to sneak it across the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Cuervo Loco FC's Lautaro Martínez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Morales narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lautaro Martínez might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Morales. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Martínez ran back to his position shaking his head. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pucará's Pepe Sand in the 41st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Bogdan Stelea was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Cuervo Loco FC through an amazing save. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cuervo Loco FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Godofredo Lauaxeta was slow to take the kick. During this time Pucará's players had a chance to rest. Dario Artizar made a great header on Pucará's corner, it was just that Cuervo Loco FC's Bogdan Stelea managed to reach the ball for a save.
