LTA FC's David Esiquio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kauan de Barros in the 18 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Curcio in the 23rd minute of play forced LTA FC's goalkeeper Dalmacio Ebardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba got control of the ball when Zé Bani tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute Venancio Emesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Ebardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Óscar Cordoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Erico in the 35th minute of the match. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Erico in the 38th minute of play. The throw-in from Kauan de Barros in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by LTA FC's David Esiquio. A sloppy throw-in by Kauan de Barros in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by LTA FC's David Esiquio. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Gijón's Atilano Feo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes in the game, Zé Bani dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 46 minutes, Kauan de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting de Gijón and the LTA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zé Bani might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Óscar Cordoba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Bani ran back to his position shaking his head.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Óscar Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Erico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. LTA FC's Rodrigo Quintan was substituted for Armando Franco. Arsenio Erico kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Saturnino Curcio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Ebardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Óscar Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Bani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Bilintx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Dalmacio Ebardo made a huge save. 75 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Bani came free, but Óscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting de Gijón's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Saturnino Curcio in the 80th minute. The corner led to Sporting de Gijón's Diego Maradona getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Elvio Ticho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óscar Cordoba having to interfere. Dalmacio Ebardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Maradona in the 87th minute of the match. Dalmacio Ebardo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. 92 minutes into the match, LTA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Maradona came free, but Dalmacio Ebardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
