Frontera AFC's Silvestre Cisco got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Nereo Jakes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute Silvestre Cisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Textex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Otsando in the 13th minute of the match. If Cornelio Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Cornelio Guerrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Guaberto Efren fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newpi Academy's protests and gave Guaberto Efren a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Newpi Academy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! After 20 minutes Newpi Academy's goalkeeper Richard Textex managed, with a little bit of luck, save Naohiro Takahara's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Naohiro Takahara scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Richard Textex, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Otsando in the 22nd minute of play forced Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tonete in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Cornelio Guerrero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newpi Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Alberto Tonete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Agustín Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Textex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Palacio in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Palacio notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Newpi Academy's Richard Textex. Richard Textex was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Richard Textex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Palacio in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto Tonete to strike the kick off in the second half. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naohiro Takahara in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naohiro Takahara in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Textex prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alberto Tonete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Agustín Rossi made a huge save. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naohiro Takahara in the 64th minute of play. Armand Callahan kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Frontera AFC's Domingos Evangelista was substituted for Cristian Medina. Frontera AFC made a substitution. Mariano Bitxintxo replaced Celso Betadur. The supporters of Frontera AFC booed when Newpi Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armand Callahan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Textex showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Palacio in the 73rd minute of the match. Richard Textex showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naohiro Takahara, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Newpi Academy's Gavino Lauren got a free kick in the 95th minute. Frontera AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
