Fabio Lordi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabio Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márcio Lago in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Villa Lourdes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Lago came free, but Fabio Lordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Lordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Márcio Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Dominic Pastor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Lourdes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominic Pastor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After the first half Expresso Ranelagh were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dominic Pastor to make the kick off. Fabio Lordi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Márcio Lago in the 51st minute. Expresso Ranelagh's Pablo Lohitzun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Honrio in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th match minute, Expresso Ranelagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Chap to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Albino Mikelar notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Expresso Ranelagh's Pablo Lohitzun. Pablo Lohitzun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aldo Gorosti kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match.
