With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Polito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute Natã Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's goalkeeper Dário Tepedino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natã Motta. Dário Tepedino was a little too slow when Natã Motta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-1. When Astor Poz came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Sandungueo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Poz couldn't finish the play. Emiliano Polito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Corrêa in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Astor Poz made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Barreal FC booed when Sandungueo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Bertran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Eneko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emiliano Polito. Sandungueo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dário Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Poz, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Sandungueo's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Corrêa came free, but Emiliano Polito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Polito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ben-Ami Gol's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute Traian Bognar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ben-Ami Gol got free with Emiliano Polito in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yu Guang Chen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Emiliano Polito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Yu Guang Chen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Emiliano Polito 75 minutes into the match. Dário Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Bognar in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Honorio Eguen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandungueo made a substitution. Arnulfo Eguntsenti replaced Traian Bognar. Ben-Ami Gol received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emiliano Polito came out and tried to block the shot, but Ben-Ami Gol slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 87th minute. Sandungueo's Fausto Rutenio was substituted for Hernan Cidro. Yu Guang Chen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Emiliano Polito made a huge save.
