Claudio Cerritos was slow to take the kick. During this time Dep Colonia Avellaneda's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Quilaquina AFC booed when Dep Colonia Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wei Li didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Wei Li hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomiro Cibran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darryl Buckner went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Darryl Buckner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcel Dinescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Victoriano Bernaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baldomiro Cibran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Buckner in the 24th minute of play. In the 24th minute Darryl Buckner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Cibran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darryl Buckner might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomiro Cibran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darryl Buckner ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldomiro Cibran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Buckner in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Darryl Buckner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darryl Buckner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baldomiro Cibran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Buckner in the 40th minute of play. The Quilaquina AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dep Colonia Avellaneda were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darryl Buckner to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Dep Colonia Avellaneda getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Wei Li hit a great ball. Victoriano Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Dinescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes Quilaquina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Adrio. Quilaquina AFC's Baldomiro Cibran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darryl Buckner in the 60th minute of play. When Quilaquina AFC's Leonel Semeno in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalie prevented a goal. Feliberto Pitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Santo Libertad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Darryl Buckner came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Dep Colonia Avellaneda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darryl Buckner couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Quilaquina AFC's Marcel Dinescu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Baldomiro Cibran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darryl Buckner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, Quilaquina AFC's Leonel Semeno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victoriano Bernaldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Abel Harri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Dep Colonia Avellaneda players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
