The attack was good, but when Rögnvaldur Bjarmarsson in the 6th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 8 minutes into the match, Club A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Ridouane Palermo came free, but Roque Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Orlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Roque Rexino made a huge save. Roque Rexino made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Prospero Orlan sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Club A. Independiente's Venancio Mirande got a free kick in the 10th minute. Roque Rexino made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Hilario Iruinea sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Ridouane Palermo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roque Rexino. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Ridouane Palermo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Roque Rexino 20 minutes into the match. Roque Rexino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Prospero Orlan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 29 minute of play. In the 35th minute Prospero Orlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Ridouane Palermo took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Roque Rexino to make any attempt to save it. After 45 minutes of play, Muten's Hilario Iruinea made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roque Rexino was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 8-0.

The wind increased when Ridouane Palermo made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Ridouane Palermo put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Roque Rexino. Roque Rexino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Orlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the Club A. Independiente defense, Prospero Orlan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roque Rexino. The Club A. Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roque Rexino should have stopped the shot. Roque Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Orlan in the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Ridouane Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
