The audience thought a goal was coming when Cemil Oral got free with Dursun Ekinci in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mateusz Matusiak might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gazi Hunalp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateusz Matusiak ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateusz Matusiak in the 5th minute of play forced GAZİKENT FK's goalkeeper Gazi Hunalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th match minute, GAZİKENT FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Baki Pakkan to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute Mateusz Matusiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gazi Hunalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Mateusz Matusiak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1461 Trabzon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 1461 Trabzon's Dursun Ekinci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Odon in the 13th minute of play. If Mateusz Matusiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dursun Ekinci made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Sebastian Håkansson sent off a good shot on target. 1461 Trabzon's Dursun Ekinci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save 1461 Trabzon from getting a goal against them. In the 37th match minute, 1461 Trabzon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesur Yesar to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, 1461 Trabzon's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Odon came free, but Dursun Ekinci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Serafino Venerando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gazi Hunalp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mateusz Matusiak went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mateusz Matusiak made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Mateusz Matusiak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1461 Trabzon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateusz Matusiak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Mateusz Matusiak managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1461 Trabzon's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateusz Matusiak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gazi Hunalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cemil Oral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Dursun Ekinci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cemil Oral in the 92nd minute of play forced 1461 Trabzon's goalkeeper Dursun Ekinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 minutes of play, GAZİKENT FK's Cemil Oral made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dursun Ekinci was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chants of 1461 Trabzon echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as GAZİKENT FK had held the ball for most of the match.
