In the 14thth minute of the game Eric Păvăloae who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Emil Gabor managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when FC Steaua Pildesti's Nicolae Barbu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Emil Gabor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Stere in the 22nd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marian Văduvescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Steaua Pildesti's zone, Eric Păvăloae stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 33rd minute, Eric Păvăloae left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ninjas in Pyjamas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ninjas in Pyjamas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ilie Răduleț in the 39th minute. Ilie Răduleț made a great header on Ninjas in Pyjamas's corner, it was just that FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Ninjas in Pyjamas getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ştefan Istrăteanu hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Zygmunt Dunajski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emil Gabor skillfully saved the ball. 68 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Marian Văduvescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Păvăloae. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Emil Gabor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Paulescu in the 70th minute of play. Marian Văduvescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Păvăloae in the 74th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Lucian Stere heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Eric Păvăloae struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Marian Văduvescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ninjas in Pyjamas. Eric Păvăloae blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marian Văduvescu having to make a save. Marian Văduvescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Păvăloae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Marian Văduvescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Păvăloae. When the final whistle went the supporters of Ninjas in Pyjamas were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Steaua Pildesti side.
