Spectators: 163 (Terracing: 123, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ceferino Erroman kicked off to start the match. Călin Ghioncu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Coșeriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Stefan Dobay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelian Coporan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia Rio's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Connor Hughes was slow to take the kick. During this time Carpathians's players had a chance to rest. After 9 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Coșeriu. After some careless play in the Academia Rio defense, Stefan Dobay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelian Coporan. The Academia Rio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelian Coporan should have stopped the shot. In the 13th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Pantelimon to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Stefan Dobay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelian Coporan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Dobay in the 17th minute of play. Aurelian Coporan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Dobay in the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Carpathians got a freekick which was hit by Ercan Sabahaddin. Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Dobay in the 26th minute of play. After 26th play minutes Stefan Dobay shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Aurelian Coporan and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Ţurcaş in the 36th minute of play forced Academia Rio's goalkeeper Aurelian Coporan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Carpathians got a corner. Academia Rio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Connor Hughes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carpathians's Ceferino Erroman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aurelian Coporan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Stefan Dobay took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelian Coporan. Aurelian Coporan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergiu Coșeriu to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Stefan Dobay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Călin Ghioncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Păvăloae in the 58th minute of the match. Stefan Dobay scored 0-5 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelian Coporan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Rio's goalkeeper Aurelian Coporan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carpathians's Cazimir Feteanu was substituted for Stefan Dobay. Cazimir Feteanu struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Aurelian Coporan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carpathians. When Academia Rio's Dorel Nedelciu in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carpathians's goalie prevented a goal. In the 78th minute, Cazimir Feteanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelian Coporan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. 83 minutes in the game Dumitru Pantelimon did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Adrian Blănaru. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Rio's goalkeeper Aurelian Coporan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aurelian Coporan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cazimir Feteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia Rio's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Connor Hughes was slow to take the kick. During this time Carpathians's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Carpathians's corner Mădălin Lipan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aurelian Coporan quite easily take care of the ball. Aurelian Coporan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. 96 minutes into the match, Cazimir Feteanu notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan. Aurelian Coporan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carpathians played a much better game than Academia Rio and deserved their victory. The Academia Rio players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
