With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roch Bury in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isac Hojbota saved FC Politehnica Timisoara from getting behind. In the 21st minute Roch Bury shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Hojbota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Isac Hojbota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roch Bury in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute Balaceanu UFC were awarded a corner. Marcu Tomoioagă went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Balaceanu UFC's corner Marcu Tomoioagă fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Isac Hojbota quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olimpiu Rizea got free with Dorin Orghidan in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roch Bury in the 34th minute of play forced FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Isac Hojbota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Iustinian Burdujan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isac Hojbota was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Balaceanu UFC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Georg Kruusimaa hit a great ball. Dorin Orghidan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Rizea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olimpiu Rizea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balaceanu UFC's goalkeeper Dorin Orghidan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Politehnica Timisoara were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Balaceanu UFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Timmy Deckbergh took the corner. Andrew Harrison could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Isac Hojbota made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Roch Bury came free, but Isac Hojbota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
