Roberto Puig was slow to take the kick. During this time VIP's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on VIP's corner Roberto Puig fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Călin Prunaru quite easily take care of the ball. Călin Prunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Coșereanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dumitru Berca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Axelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 41 minutes into the match, FC MCM's goal looked a bit too open when Dobri Karapetrov came free, but Călin Prunaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th match minute, VIP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liu Sang Chao to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute Sebastian Ţugui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Prunaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dumitru Berca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pau Novo in the 86th minute of play.
