In the 71st minute of the match, Dobri Karapetrov tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dinu Oardă saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Liviu Frumușanu's late challenge caught a VIP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liviu Frumușanu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of VIP booed when MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Frumușanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ştefan Coșereanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dinu Oardă came out and tried to block the shot, but Ştefan Coșereanu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 85th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Ştefan Coșereanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VIP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ştefan Coșereanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
