Diamantino Lobo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Andrei Alexandrescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Lobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Galante in the 18th minute of the match. The Owls's Jan-Åke Emander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Alexandrescu in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrei Alexandrescu in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Åke Emander saved The Owls from getting behind. Jan-Åke Emander made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Andrei Alexandrescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute Gino Galante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Lobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gino Galante to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan-Åke Emander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diamantino Lobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Creemers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Du Chen Nan in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Acatar's Emanuel Doinaș. Jan-Åke Emander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Podgoreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Owls's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lv Yu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Acatar's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC Acatar's corner Ion Hritcu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jan-Åke Emander quite easily take care of the ball. In the 86th minute, Niculae Podgoreanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Acatar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Niculae Podgoreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Emander having to interfere. In the 91st minute, The Owls's Gino Galante dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. A sloppy throw-in by Emanuel Doinaș in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by The Owls's Du Chen Nan.
