In the 25th minute, Vinícius Juniors ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Lentini was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinícius Juniors got free with Richard Lentini in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31stth minute of the game Carolo Camaño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute Kyle Thake shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Vinícius Juniors took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Richard Lentini to make any attempt to save it. 41 minutes into the match, Ugonotti's Carolo Camaño sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richard Lentini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinícius Juniors to make the kick off. Vinícius Juniors struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute.
