Theofilos Venetis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Etxepare, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Olympique Salonais's goal looked a bit too open when Dobromir Cupial came free, but Raymond Foubert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

BE COOL were furious when Batu Cem Dilazad was red carded, 51 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Batu Cem Dilazad kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Tang Xi Zhen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olympique Salonais's Hilario Chale was substituted for Hector Etxepare.
