Laurențiu Susara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iustin Bâru in the 43rd minute. After 47 played minutes Saronida FC got a freekick which was hit by Stelios Skountouflas. Saronida FC's Eleftherios Vasdekis was substituted for Jonas Pacheco. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valerios Voutsas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Facundo Bot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurențiu Susara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 81st minute of play forced Saronida FC's goalkeeper Laurențiu Susara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurențiu Susara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Go Ahead Eagles walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
