In the 3rd minute of the match Cezary Tusk shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jerry Lodge showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Ryan Plumber got a free kick in the 10th minute. Valencia C.F.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guillermo Farré in the 14th minute. Guillermo Farré sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge got control of the ball when Pastor Ihazintu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Joe Herring notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Urbs LC's Eugenio Santoro. Eugenio Santoro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Ihazintu in the 23rd minute of play forced Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerry Lodge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pastor Ihazintu in the 23rd minute. Jerry Lodge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Ihazintu in the 32nd minute of play. Pastor Ihazintu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerry Lodge having to make a save. Joe Herring's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Santoro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Valencia C.F. were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Urbs LC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Guillermo Farré took the corner. Oliver Bean was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joe Herring was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Guillermo Farré got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Cezary Tusk hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th match minute, Urbs LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezary Tusk to maneuver through the defense. Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Ihazintu in the 70th minute of play. Cezary Tusk made a great header on Urbs LC's corner, it was just that Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cezary Tusk in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerry Lodge saved Valencia C.F. from getting behind. In the 76th minute Cezary Tusk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Lodge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Boško Balaban ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerry Lodge was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Urbs LC's Anselmo Papetti was substituted for Bruno Di Iulio. After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 94th minute Pastor Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Lodge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boško Balaban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
