After 6 played minutes Seraċini Għawdxin got a freekick which was hit by Filip Bejrut. Fernando Negro took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Siniša Feletar. Siniša Feletar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Seraċini Għawdxin's Fernando Negro in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ZG Hakleri's goalie prevented a goal. 16 minutes into the game, Seraċini Għawdxin's Fernando Negro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Siniša Feletar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Fernando Negro scored 0-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Siniša Feletar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Fernando Negro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Siniša Feletar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Siniša Feletar came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Seraċini Għawdxin's Fernando Negro. But to his dismay, Fernando Negro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 38 minutes into the game, Niko Stipančić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ZG Hakleri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seraċini Għawdxin the free kick. A collision led to ZG Hakleri getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Bejrut in the 40th minute of play forced ZG Hakleri's goalkeeper Siniša Feletar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Filip Bejrut had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Siniša Feletar. ZG Hakleri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filip Bejrut was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After the first half Seraċini Għawdxin were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Seraċini Għawdxin's Fernando Negro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Siniša Feletar. That made the score 0-8 after 51 minutes of play. After 55 played minutes Fernando Negro rounded ZG Hakleri's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-9. In the 63rd minute, one of ZG Hakleri:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ZG Hakleri. The goalkeeper, Siniša Feletar, was totally fooled by Seraċini Għawdxin's Neil Degabriele, who 64 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Seraċini Għawdxin's Miguel Caruana quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Niko Stipančić, made in the 69th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Fernando Negro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Siniša Feletar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. Siniša Feletar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernando Negro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-12 in the 75 minute of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ZG Hakleri's goalkeeper Siniša Feletar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kenny Brummer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rahim Kornes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seraċini Għawdxin's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
