The supporters of Jazz booed when En avant de guingamp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Andrea Bolognesi managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when En avant de guingamp's Antônio Carlos Almeida fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 8 minutes of play, Jazz's Marco Jazz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maelgwn Le Bars was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the match, Jazz's goal looked a bit too open when Denizhan Ünüvar came free, but Andrea Bolognesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Antônio Carlos Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Jazz in the 16th minute of play forced En avant de guingamp's goalkeeper Maelgwn Le Bars to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Marco Jazz in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Andrea Bolognesi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Jazz's goal looked a bit too open when Ni Jun Liang came free, but Andrea Bolognesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Jazz in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maelgwn Le Bars saved En avant de guingamp from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Jazz's goal looked a bit too open when Ni Jun Liang came free, but Andrea Bolognesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ni Jun Liang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Andrea Bolognesi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Carmine Bellisario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maelgwn Le Bars saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Marco Jazz made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos Almeida in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrea Bolognesi saved Jazz from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ni Jun Liang managed to get in a good position for a shot. En avant de guingamp's supporters rose to their feet, but Ni Jun Liang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrea Bolognesi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jazz's Aldo Pani was substituted for Mai Yang Yan. In the 62nd minute Ni Jun Liang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Bolognesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Pani hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Jazz's goal looked a bit too open when Ni Jun Liang came free, but Andrea Bolognesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th match minute, Jazz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Pani to maneuver through the defense. Maelgwn Le Bars came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Jazz's Nae Preda. But to his dismay, Nae Preda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nae Preda got free with Maelgwn Le Bars in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jazz eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
