An unexpectedly hard shot by Roch Felenak in the 11th minute of play forced LIVIOFOREVER's goalkeeper Fabiano Rago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmine Milani in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gao Yang Yan saved La Pointe Courte from getting behind. Fabiano Rago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roch Felenak in the 18th minute of the match. Giancarlo Antognoni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gao Yang Yan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. La Pointe Courte's Gao Yang Yan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmine Milani in the 21st minute of play. After 24 played minutes LIVIOFOREVER got a freekick which was hit by Dante Chabot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Pagueguy in the 25th minute of play forced LIVIOFOREVER's goalkeeper Fabiano Rago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Roch Felenak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fabiano Rago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabiano Rago came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by La Pointe Courte's Roch Felenak. But to his dismay, Roch Felenak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 37 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Gao Yang Yan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Fernando de Sena. After 40 played minutes Carmine Milani rounded La Pointe Courte's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Gao Yang Yan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuele Morelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. La Pointe Courte's Gao Yang Yan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save La Pointe Courte from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Roch Felenak made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute La Pointe Courte were awarded a corner. Josué Pagueguy went to the cornerflag to take it. A beautiful save bye LIVIOFOREVER's goalie prevented a goal. LIVIOFOREVER made a substitution. Youri van Eycken replaced Giuliano Galfrè. La Pointe Courte made a substitution. Yves Leite replaced Roch Felenak. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by LIVIOFOREVER's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Josué Pagueguy was slow to take the kick. During this time La Pointe Courte's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Alejo Alonso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but LIVIOFOREVER's Fabiano Rago did a great save. Yves Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Fabiano Rago made a huge save. When Cidro Flores fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Pointe Courte's protests and gave Cidro Flores a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to La Pointe Courte getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Cidro Flores hit a great ball. The La Pointe Courte supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Pointe Courte would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
