The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jan Plocek struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Konstantin Pančur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barcelona. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chico Pirok got free with Konstantin Pančur in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duško Turnšek in the 10th minute of play forced FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Dezider Šindelka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Duško Turnšek made a precise shot to the right of Dezider Šindelka. FC Barcelona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 16 played minutes HIT Gorica got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Abalos. Oleg Cetinja kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Konstantin Pančur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Plocek in the 20th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of HIT Gorica's goalie and right to Bohuslav Chlubna. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. HIT Gorica's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. HIT Gorica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Tibor Surovec scored to the left of an out of position Konstantin Pančur, making the score, 1-1. Dezider Šindelka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duško Turnšek, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Delmiro Lizbeth was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. After 41 minutes HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Konstantin Pančur managed, with a little bit of luck, save Dragan Horčička's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. 41 minutes into the match, Dragan Horčička notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of HIT Gorica's Konstantin Pančur. Konstantin Pančur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venancio Abalos hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After 49 played minutes HIT Gorica got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Abalos. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Chico Pirok's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Konstantin Pančur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After 56 minutes HIT Gorica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jan Plocek who took care of the corner kick. FC Barcelona's Dragan Horčička got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. HIT Gorica made a substitution. Istok Šabotić replaced Duško Turnšek. In the 61st minute Andrej Karásek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Pančur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, HIT Gorica's CJ Desailly got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, CJ Desailly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's Jan Plocek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Konstantin Pančur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Slawomir Gargasz's late challenge caught a FC Barcelona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Slawomir Gargasz helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes HIT Gorica got a freekick which was hit by Slawomir Gargasz. After 72 minutes of play, FC Barcelona's Andrej Karásek made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Konstantin Pančur was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jan Plocek hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When Antoni Zdrojewski fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HIT Gorica's protests and gave Antoni Zdrojewski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to HIT Gorica getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Antoni Zdrojewski hit a great ball. When Chico Pirok came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Pirok couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anton Chlup during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot by Oleg Cetinja from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Dezider Šindelka's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 89th match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Plocek to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Jan Plocek. After 97 played minutes HIT Gorica got a freekick which was hit by Zlatko Goričan. Jan Plocek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Konstantin Pančur having to make a save. FC Barcelona walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
