The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Cromvelde's zone, Pan Jian Yong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Louis Van Bever came out of the goal and Pan Jian Yong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute Mathijs Rokeloos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve De Wilde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathijs Rokeloos in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steve De Wilde saved Lions United from getting behind. Steve De Wilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathijs Rokeloos in the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Jochen Van den Panhuizen threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lions United's Taribo Ndukwe quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Jian Yong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pan Jian Yong hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Mathijs Rokeloos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathijs Rokeloos got free with Steve De Wilde in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pan Jian Yong to make the kick off. Jean-Louis Van Bever was a little too slow when Rafli Leonard got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 55th minute, Pan Jian Yong fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jean-Louis Van Bever, passed just outside the right post. 57 minutes into the match, KFC Cromvelde's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Jean-Louis Van Bever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve De Wilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathijs Rokeloos in the 59th minute of the match. Jean-Louis Van Bever came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Lions United's Pan Jian Yong. But to his dismay, Pan Jian Yong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. KFC Cromvelde made a substitution. Dé 武松 replaced Eugenio Cirulli. KFC Cromvelde's Jean-Louis Van Bever played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pan Jian Yong in the 67th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pan Jian Yong in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Louis Van Bever saved KFC Cromvelde from getting behind. Pan Jian Yong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean-Louis Van Bever read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Steve De Wilde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dé 武松, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taribo Ndukwe hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pan Jian Yong in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Louis Van Bever saved KFC Cromvelde from getting behind. Mathijs Rokeloos took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steve De Wilde. Steve De Wilde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Jian Yong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 minutes of play, KFC Cromvelde's Karl-Heinz Kaltz made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steve De Wilde was left in no man's land by his defense there! Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
