With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Alvarez in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Akinfeev saved Voskresensk FC from getting behind. Andoni Zubizarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danila Kolobov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The GARGOYLES fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when GARGOYLES's Ignacio Alvarez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vadim Basmannikov charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vadim Basmannikov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 10 minutes into the match, Voskresensk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Alvarez came free, but Igor Akinfeev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Artur Timoshin fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Voskresensk FC's protests and gave Artur Timoshin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Voskresensk FC's Artur Timoshin got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Ignacio Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andoni Zubizarreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evgeniy Fomichev in the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match GARGOYLES got a corner. Voskresensk FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ignacio Alvarez ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Slavyan Mechkuev got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Igor Akinfeev quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Danila Kolobov's late challenge caught a GARGOYLES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danila Kolobov helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of GARGOYLES booed when Voskresensk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danila Kolobov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Ignacio Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Akinfeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Voskresensk FC's Igor Akinfeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Alvarez in the 29th minute of play. Ignacio Alvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Valko Nanyov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GARGOYLES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Voskresensk FC the free kick. A collision led to GARGOYLES getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Valko Nanyov hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ignacio Alvarez made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Ignacio Alvarez could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Igor Akinfeev however easily saved by the left post. 55 minutes into the match, Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ignacio Alvarez. 61 minutes into the game, Ignacio Alvarez lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Igor Akinfeev. Voskresensk FC made a substitution. Konstantin Lakhov replaced Vadim Basmannikov. Ignacio Alvarez in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Igor Akinfeev, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Voskresensk FC defense, Ignacio Alvarez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Akinfeev. The Voskresensk FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Akinfeev should have stopped the shot. Ignacio Alvarez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Akinfeev having to make a save. Andoni Zubizarreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evgeniy Fomichev in the 77th minute of the match. GARGOYLES's Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evgeniy Fomichev in the 81st minute of play. Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Valko Nanyov 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-7. With a little luck, Voskresensk FC's Igor Akinfeev got control of the ball when Antonio Sciotto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ignacio Alvarez succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-9. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GARGOYLES walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
