Edmílson Gaúcho started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Andersen came free, but Odysseus Lindenmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9thth minute of the game Sandro Andersen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Sven-Arne Bengtsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Triesenberg's Helmut Alabor. Helmut Alabor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th match minute, Fire Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garson Pfäffli to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Fire Devils's Iosif Vornic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Helmut Alabor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when FC Triesenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Nef didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Triesenberg's Helmut Alabor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iosif Vornic in the 30th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Edmílson Gaúcho put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Helmut Alabor. Sven-Arne Bengtsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmut Alabor having to interfere. Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Fire Devils from getting a goal against them. A collision led to FC Triesenberg getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Stjepan Sozzi hit a great ball. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when FC Triesenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olcay von Opel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 41 minutes, Sven-Arne Bengtsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fire Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Arne Bengtsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sandro Andersen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Odysseus Lindenmann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Triesenberg's Antonio Jauch got a free kick in the 46th minute. The audience was convinced that Edmílson Gaúcho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Helmut Alabor was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After the first half Fire Devils were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandro Andersen made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Iosif Vornic fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Helmut Alabor, passed just outside the right post. After 51st play minutes Edmílson Gaúcho shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Helmut Alabor and just under the crossbar into goal. If Thorsten Nägele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Sandro Andersen managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Triesenberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Andersen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Odysseus Lindenmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Benjamin Fischer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandro Andersen kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Fire Devils's Sven-Arne Bengtsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Helmut Alabor. Helmut Alabor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Sven-Arne Bengtsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Helmut Alabor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmílson Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 0-7 became the score in the 72nd minute when Edmílson Gaúcho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Helmut Alabor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Sandro Andersen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Triesenberg's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Sven-Arne Bengtsson scored to the left of an out of position Helmut Alabor, making the score, 0-8. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Andersen in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Odysseus Lindenmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olof Palm's late challenge caught a FC Triesenberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olof Palm helped the player get up and apologised. Olof Palm hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Odysseus Lindenmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Jauch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Sven-Arne Bengtsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Helmut Alabor. That made the score 0-9 in the 92 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Fire Devils left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Triesenberg.
