Sait Remzi started the match with the kick off. Stefan Ciemiega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ján Tuleja having to interfere. Ján Tuleja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sait Remzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vc Brye's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcio Lacorte in the 8th minute. Comunardo Cianci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Ján Tuleja made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Vc Brye's Ján Tuleja threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Niels Vandamme, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 23 minutes FC Melon's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcio Lacorte who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Vc Brye's corner Comunardo Cianci fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ján Tuleja quite easily take care of the ball. Ján Tuleja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niels Vandamme in the 25th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Vc Brye's Ján Tuleja threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sait Remzi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Sait Remzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vc Brye's supporters rose to their feet, but Sait Remzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ján Tuleja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henri-Patrick De Mare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Kudlak in the 36th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sait Remzi in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ján Tuleja saved FC Melon from getting behind. In the 39th minute of the match Vc Brye got a corner. FC Melon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcio Lacorte ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Edwin Browald managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ján Tuleja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sait Remzi in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Kudlak was the one to do the kick off. When Peter Holub fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Melon's protests and gave Peter Holub a yellow card for diving instead. 51 minutes into the game, one of FC Melon:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Vc Brye. Marcio Lacorte stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ján Tuleja. 1-0. FC Melon's Ján Tuleja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niels Vandamme in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Cianci in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Melon's goalkeeper Ján Tuleja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ján Tuleja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Cianci in the 63rd minute of the match. Ján Tuleja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Vieri in the 64th minute of play. Vc Brye's Gabríel Vassaras was substituted for Sait Remzi. Vc Brye's Geoffry Lefevre was substituted for Cristian Vieri. In the 69th minute of the match Vc Brye got a corner. FC Melon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcio Lacorte ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Vc Brye's Comunardo Cianci to fire away a dangerous shot which Ján Tuleja despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ján Tuleja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabríel Vassaras, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, Vc Brye's Henri-Patrick De Mare got control of the ball when Martin Kudlak tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute Vc Brye were awarded a corner. Marcio Lacorte went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 85th minute Geoffry Lefevre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ján Tuleja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Melon's Ján Tuleja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabríel Vassaras in the 90th minute of play. Comunardo Cianci scored 2-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ján Tuleja, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Gabríel Vassaras sped through FC Melon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ján Tuleja. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vc Brye fully deserved thier win.
