The audience thought a goal was coming when Komen Schotte got free with Fausto Pinho in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fausto Pinho came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by FFC Merainies 03's Boukjan Bunt. But to his dismay, Boukjan Bunt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeu Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FFC Merainies 03 fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when FFC Merainies 03's Komen Schotte looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tadeu Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu having to interfere. Komen Schotte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Fausto Pinho made a huge save. With a little luck, Denti della Vecchia's Fausto Pinho got control of the ball when Leon Craandijk tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32 played minutes Denti della Vecchia got a freekick which was hit by Jost Egli. After 34 minutes Denti della Vecchia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Boukjan Bunt who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FFC Merainies 03's Bruno Marceau to fire away a dangerous shot which Fausto Pinho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Boukjan Bunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Pinho having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Komen Schotte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Pinho was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Pepijn Hummel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Pinho having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Komen Schotte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FFC Merainies 03 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Tolek Kornatowski made the kick off in the second half. Komen Schotte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Pinho having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Komen Schotte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Pinho. Denti della Vecchia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Komen Schotte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Denti della Vecchia's Fausto Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Komen Schotte in the 61st minute of play. Denti della Vecchia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FFC Merainies 03 the free kick. Denti della Vecchia's Zbyszko Galaska was substituted for Tolek Kornatowski. FFC Merainies 03's Job Gasteren was substituted for Pepijn Hummel. After 77 played minutes Denti della Vecchia got a freekick which was hit by Matt Brandenberg. After 78 played minutes, FFC Merainies 03's Boukjan Bunt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fausto Pinho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FFC Merainies 03 reached it. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Denti della Vecchia's goalkeeper Fausto Pinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Komen Schotte in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Pinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Komen Schotte scored 7-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto Pinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Komen Schotte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Pinho. Denti della Vecchia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Komen Schotte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. FFC Merainies 03 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
