The supporters of FC Koper booed when FC Vershina ESPN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles-Antoine Carnevalli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slawomir Brysz, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. FC Koper's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Istok Marinč in the 7th minute. In the 10thth minute of the game Cyprian Gierlach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Koper's Cveto Novinec was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, FC Koper's goal looked a bit too open when Cyprian Gierlach came free, but Cveto Novinec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cveto Novinec stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aristides Domenec's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Cveto Novinec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Domenec in the 16th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Aristides Domenec ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cveto Novinec was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Aristides Domenec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Koper getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mihail Coșereanu hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristides Domenec in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cveto Novinec prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Domenec in the 34th minute of play forced FC Koper's goalkeeper Cveto Novinec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cyprian Gierlach in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cveto Novinec prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45th minute Cyprian Gierlach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cveto Novinec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cveto Novinec stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cyprian Gierlach's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Slawomir Brysz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Charles-Antoine Carnevalli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slawomir Brysz in the 50th minute of the match. Cveto Novinec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristides Domenec in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chatziantoniou Xanthos in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Vershina ESPN's goalkeeper Charles-Antoine Carnevalli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Koper's Cveto Novinec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Gierlach in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, FC Vershina ESPN's goal looked a bit too open when Chatziantoniou Xanthos came free, but Charles-Antoine Carnevalli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Thor Eriksson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cveto Novinec. That made the score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Charles-Antoine Carnevalli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slawomir Brysz in the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, FC Koper's goal looked a bit too open when Cyprian Gierlach came free, but Cveto Novinec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aristides Domenec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Cveto Novinec made a huge save. Cveto Novinec stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cyprian Gierlach's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. With his leg Cveto Novinec managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when FC Vershina ESPN's Aristides Domenec fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 83 minutes into the match, FC Koper's goal looked a bit too open when Cyprian Gierlach came free, but Cveto Novinec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Cyprian Gierlach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cveto Novinec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, Ladislao Cordarrel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Koper's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Vershina ESPN the free kick. FC Vershina ESPN's Kostyantyn Migalevsjkyi was substituted for Danko Fuchs. FC Vershina ESPN's Volodymyr Ovcharenko was substituted for Aristides Domenec. Ladislao Cordarrel kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The FC Vershina ESPN supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Vershina ESPN would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
