The supporters of Lopidato FC booed when De hijgende Hertjes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leendert Zuurman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philip de Groot struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Maximiliano Mundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De hijgende Hertjes. Renaud Van der Vloedt charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renaud Van der Vloedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lopidato FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Renaud Van der Vloedt hit a great ball. After 23 minutes, Philip de Groot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De hijgende Hertjes and the Lopidato FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Boruc Majorski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Leendert Zuurman managed to get in a good position for a shot. De hijgende Hertjes's supporters rose to their feet, but Leendert Zuurman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximiliano Mundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute Herman De Strijcker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steen Müür saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yannik Meersmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steen Müür having to interfere. Lopidato FC's Stephen Smidts was substituted for Dominic Cornelis. When the final whistle sounded Lopidato FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than De hijgende Hertjes.
