Mattias Kilman charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mattias Kilman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the IFK Göteborg defense, Stig Dalgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Wenerdahl. The IFK Göteborg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Wenerdahl should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the match, Stig Dalgren notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of IFK Göteborg's Christian Wenerdahl. Christian Wenerdahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arman Högström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carl Askelöf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Ove Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Arman Högström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Wenerdahl. IFK Göteborg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arman Högström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Billy Sundberg came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Boomerang Bombers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billy Sundberg couldn't finish the play. If Arman Högström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Arman Högström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Wenerdahl was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After 30 played minutes, Boomerang Bombers's Dag Jonsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christian Wenerdahl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Boomerang Bombers reached it. Boomerang Bombers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arman Högström in the 34th minute. After 34 played minutes Boomerang Bombers got a freekick which was hit by Åke Lundström. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arman Högström in the 37th minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Christian Wenerdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Wenerdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Sundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After 47 played minutes IFK Göteborg got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Öfverman.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stig Dalgren was the one to do the kick off. Boomerang Bombers's Stig Dalgren got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Billy Sundberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Christian Wenerdahl skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 57thth minute of the game Karl-Ove Blomkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boomerang Bombers's Carl Askelöf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of IFK Göteborg booed when Boomerang Bombers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Hellsing didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ove Lövkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carl Askelöf having to make a save. Christian Wenerdahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Billy Sundberg in the 61st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Christian Wenerdahl successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 67 minutes into the match, Michael Nyberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Wenerdahl. IFK Göteborg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michael Nyberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. After having played for 71 minutes, Åke Lundström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boomerang Bombers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Lundström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Karl-Ove Blomkvist came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the IFK Göteborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Ove Blomkvist couldn't finish the play. Michael Nyberg hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Karl-Ove Blomkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Askelöf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, IFK Göteborg's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Billy Sundberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ove Lövkvist hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Stig Dalgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ingvar Hellgren during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th minute, Ingvar Hellgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boomerang Bombers's Stig Dalgren got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Billy Sundberg scored 0-7 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Wenerdahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Boomerang Bombers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than IFK Göteborg.
