The supporters of Joxa mé trasan booed when IFK Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ove Lövkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Flinta in the 14th minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Christian Wenerdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes IFK Göteborg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ove Löfgren who took care of the corner kick. Mattias Biörkman made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Joxa mé trasan's Ove Löfgren. 25 minutes into the game, Joxa mé trasan's Fred Flinta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Wenerdahl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Joxa mé trasan getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gabriel Lange hit a great ball. Christian Wenerdahl came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Joxa mé trasan's Fred Flinta. But to his dismay, Fred Flinta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Joxa mé trasan's zone, Ingvar Hellgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Aznar came out of the goal and Ingvar Hellgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred Flinta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Wenerdahl having to make a save. After 41 minutes of play, Joxa mé trasan's Fred Flinta made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Wenerdahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Flinta in the 45th minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Christian Wenerdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Wenerdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Flinta in the 47th minute of play. The IFK Göteborg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Joxa mé trasan were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fred Flinta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, IFK Göteborg's Christian Wenerdahl got control of the ball when Fred Flinta tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Joxa mé trasan's Conny Caspersson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Wenerdahl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. 61 minutes into the game, Fred Flinta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christian Wenerdahl. Fred Flinta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Fred Flinta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Wenerdahl having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Ingvar Hellgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Göteborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Hellgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Aznar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Flinta got free with Christian Wenerdahl in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jörgen Hammarberg made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Joxa mé trasan's Gabriel Lange. 73 minutes into the match, Fred Flinta notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of IFK Göteborg's Christian Wenerdahl. Christian Wenerdahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jens-Ove Lindkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
