Carlinhos Félix might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Åke Stål. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlinhos Félix ran back to his position shaking his head. Åke Stål made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Félix in the 2nd minute of play. With a little luck, Hartlepool's Åke Stål got control of the ball when Carlinhos Félix tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute Ralf Rask shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Klack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Hartlepool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Tingelholm to maneuver through the defense. Here Comes the Hammer's Hasse Brasse couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hartlepool. 23 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Félix came free, but Åke Stål reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlinhos Félix in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Åke Stål saved Hartlepool from getting behind. Here Comes the Hammer were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Hartlepool's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hasse Brasse took the corner. Bosse Blond tried in the 36th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Åke Stål a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. Vilhelm Västerstrand hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Carlinhos Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Åke Stål tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Here Comes the Hammer's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Qvarnström came free, but Valter Klack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carl Qvarnström to strike the kick off in the second half. When Bengt Blixt came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Hartlepool fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Blixt couldn't finish the play. Valter Klack made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Ralf Rask sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Qvarnström in the 58th minute of play forced Here Comes the Hammer's goalkeeper Valter Klack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes in the game, Carl Qvarnström dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Valter Klack made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Ralf Rask sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute Hartlepool were awarded a corner. Hasan Hüseyin Orak went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Hasan Hüseyin Orak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Here Comes the Hammer's Valter Klack did a great save. Åke Stål took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Christoffersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Hartlepool's Hasan Hüseyin Orak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 68th minute, Kārlis Straubegs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Here Comes the Hammer's Valter Klack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Blixt in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Ralf Rask dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valter Klack, 1-2. Here Comes the Hammer made a substitution. Bukkus Bonk replaced Carlinhos Félix. Åke Stål showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bukkus Bonk in the 77th minute of the match. When Here Comes the Hammer's Bukkus Bonk in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hartlepool's goalie prevented a goal. Here Comes the Hammer's Valter Klack proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Here Comes the Hammer from getting a goal against them. Åke Stål showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bukkus Bonk, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Here Comes the Hammer's Valter Klack proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Here Comes the Hammer from getting a goal against them. Robert Christoffersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Åke Stål. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Christoffersson ran back to his position shaking his head. Hasse Brasse charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hasse Brasse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Here Comes the Hammer getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Hasse Brasse hit a great ball. Valter Klack came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hartlepool's Bengt Blixt. But to his dismay, Bengt Blixt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Hartlepool left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Here Comes the Hammer.
