In the 16th minute, Kjell-Arne Bengtsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carl Brandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ben Foster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell-Arne Bengtsson in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Sigvard Hammarberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Formsvacka FF's goalkeeper Jörn Strömberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Brandin. Alvin Viberg hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. With his leg Jörn Strömberg managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Avantgarde's Ingvar Karlsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Formsvacka FF's Sigvard Hammarberg got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ingvar Karlsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Jörn Strömberg made a huge save. 37 minutes into the game, Sigvard Hammarberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ben Foster was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Avantgarde's Ben Foster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigvard Hammarberg in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute Ingvar Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Strömberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Avantgarde's Ingvar Karlsson, in the 44th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Avantgarde. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kjell-Arne Bengtsson made a kick off. Ben Foster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kjell-Arne Bengtsson in the 58th minute. Avantgarde's Ben Foster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell-Arne Bengtsson in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Formsvacka FF's zone, Carl Brandin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörn Strömberg came out of the goal and Carl Brandin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute Lennart Westerstrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Strömberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Formsvacka FF's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Brandin came free, but Jörn Strömberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Formsvacka FF getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Kevin Billing hit a great ball. In the 77th match minute, Formsvacka FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvin Viberg to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Jan-Olof Kråk put in a rough tackle. In the 79th minute, one of Avantgarde:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Avantgarde. In the 81st minute, the referee gave Formsvacka FF a penalty. Kjell-Arne Bengtsson looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Ben Foster. Alvin Viberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Ben Foster when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Carl Brandin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jörn Strömberg was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. When Avantgarde's Carl Brandin in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Formsvacka FF's goalie prevented a goal. The Avantgarde supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Formsvacka FF's performance. The match ended with a win for Formsvacka FF.
