When Carlos Valderrama fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VfL Wolfsburg's protests and gave Carlos Valderrama a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for VfL Wolfsburg! After 4 minutes VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Olle Tunander managed, with a little bit of luck, save George Gustafsson's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. In the 4th minute, George Gustafsson made a precise shot to the right of Olle Tunander. VfL Wolfsburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Panopticon 04's goal looked a bit too open when Hannes Ström came free, but Fabien Lafont reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When VfL Wolfsburg's Hannes Ström in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panopticon 04's goalie prevented a goal. Fabien Lafont stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gösta Granberg's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. When Carlos Valderrama was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 11 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, VfL Wolfsburg's Carlos Valderrama got a free kick in the 11th minute. Yin Bing Ming hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Mark Vallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, VfL Wolfsburg's Gösta Granberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabien Lafont made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, VfL Wolfsburg's Marciano Egun got a free kick in the 29th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilbert Brandt got free with Olle Tunander in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 33 minutes VfL Wolfsburg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was George Gustafsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gilbert Brandt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but VfL Wolfsburg's Olle Tunander did a great save. Olle Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Vallin in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gösta Granberg in the 40th minute of play forced Panopticon 04's goalkeeper Fabien Lafont to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gösta Granberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olle Tunander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mark Vallin's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Vallin in the 45th minute of play forced VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Olle Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hannes Ström to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Gilbert Brandt put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Olle Tunander. In the 54th minute, George Gustafsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olle Tunander was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Erik Björklund during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Panopticon 04 got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Erik Björklund. Olle Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Vallin in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, VfL Wolfsburg's goal looked a bit too open when George Gustafsson came free, but Olle Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olle Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Brandt, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. With a little luck, Panopticon 04's Fabien Lafont got control of the ball when Hannes Ström tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Gustafsson in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olle Tunander saved VfL Wolfsburg from getting behind. 81 minutes into the match, Panopticon 04's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Granberg came free, but Fabien Lafont reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panopticon 04 made a substitution. Tiberiu Tatomir replaced Gilbert Brandt. 96 minutes into the match, Tiberiu Tatomir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olle Tunander. VfL Wolfsburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiberiu Tatomir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Panopticon 04 fans cheered their team off the field, for while VfL Wolfsburg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
