Esbjörn Lindell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Dahlman in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Flock of Eagles's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Simon Dahlman was slow to take the kick. During this time IKS Norrköping's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Marcus Hedström drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Flock of Eagles's goalkeeper. Esbjörn Lindell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Hedström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esbjörn Lindell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Ekeberg in the 21st minute of play. After taking down the ball on IKS Norrköping's corner Simon Dahlman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Esbjörn Lindell quite easily take care of the ball. The audience was convinced that Tobias Ekeberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esbjörn Lindell was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. 39 minutes into the match, IKS Norrköping's goalkeeper Emanuel Sigfridsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sabin Mergea. In the 40th match minute, IKS Norrköping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Blomqvist to maneuver through the defense. When Jan-Erik Heggert fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flock of Eagles's protests and gave Jan-Erik Heggert a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Jan-Erik Heggert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute of the match Simon Dahlman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esbjörn Lindell skillfully saved the ball. In the 44th minute, Ulf Groth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Marcus Hedström notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Flock of Eagles's Esbjörn Lindell. Esbjörn Lindell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Flock of Eagles players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. IKS Norrköping were winning 0-2.

Esbjörn Lindell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcus Hedström in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Ekeberg got free with Esbjörn Lindell in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcus Hedström took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esbjörn Lindell. Esbjörn Lindell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Marcus Hedström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Esbjörn Lindell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Esbjörn Lindell made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Marcus Hedström sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel Sigfridsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabin Mergea in the 69th minute of the match. Flock of Eagles's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sabin Mergea in the 70th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Vilhelm Kvist heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Esbjörn Lindell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcus Hedström in the 75th minute. After 78 minutes Flock of Eagles's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Simon Dahlman who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Simon Dahlman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Flock of Eagles's Esbjörn Lindell did a great save. In the 85th match minute, IKS Norrköping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Parrondo to maneuver through the defense. Osvald Backlund hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Lars Sörman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pelle Jönsätt might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esbjörn Lindell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pelle Jönsätt ran back to his position shaking his head. Esbjörn Lindell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Dahlman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Kent Asklöv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. IKS Norrköping's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
