That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Tuğrul İsmet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per Johansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 15th minute, one of Djurgården United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Djurgården United. Gregory Mäder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sonny Njurenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Per Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertil Cane hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Gregory Mäder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bertil Lindholm in the 34th minute. Richard Pihlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Patrik Johansson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt. Djurgården United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sverker Mossberg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Skene's Patrik Johansson got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Skene got a freekick which was hit by Kåre Ugla. After having played for 43 minutes, Samuel Lind managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Djurgården United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Lind was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Söderqwist's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After 49 minutes Djurgården United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Patrik Johansson who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Tuğrul İsmet got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 49 minutes, Tuğrul İsmet made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Djurgården United's Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Söderqwist was the one to do the kick off. Sonny Njurenius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregory Mäder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Per Johansson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Skene booed when Djurgården United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Njurenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdi Zati scored 4-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregory Mäder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gregory Mäder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bertil Lindholm's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Douglas Söderqwist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Per Johansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Douglas Söderqwist in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 86th minute, Johan Kullander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Lind recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gregory Mäder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Lindholm, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Bertil Lindholm scored 5-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregory Mäder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 97 minutes, Per Johansson made it 5-2 with a short kick to the right side. Djurgården United's Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
