Christer Wästerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alf Enström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Björling in the 16th minute of the match. Jens Björling scored 0-3 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alf Enström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Tord Gustafsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alf Enström. Lirarnas Lag's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tord Gustafsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. When Smurfarna's Tord Gustafsson in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christer Wästerberg got free with Tord Fors in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Jens Björling put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Alf Enström. Alf Enström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tord Gustafsson in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Smurfarna got a corner. Lirarnas Lag's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Staffan Glanselius ran over to the corner to take the kick. Smurfarna's Staffan Glanselius was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alf Enström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 35th minute of the match Smurfarna got a corner. Lirarnas Lag's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Staffan Glanselius ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 39th minute of the match Lirarnas Lag got a corner. The supporters of Lirarnas Lag booed when Smurfarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Lirarnas Lag fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alf Enström should have stopped the shot. Alf Enström came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Smurfarna's Jens Björling. But to his dismay, Jens Björling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. After the first half Smurfarna were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Christer Wästerberg made the kick off in the second half. Tord Fors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Wästerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berto Romero during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Berto Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Lirarnas Lag fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Jens Björling made a precise shot to the right of Alf Enström. Lirarnas Lag's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. Alf Enström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tord Gustafsson in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute Arne Askstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Enström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 minutes, Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lirarnas Lag and the Smurfarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lirarnas Lag getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Smurfarna's zone, Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tord Fors came out of the goal and Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Tord Gustafsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alf Enström, 0-10. Tord Fors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Pascal Bellefeuille, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Smurfarna's Jens Björling nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alf Enström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-11. Smurfarna played a much better game than Lirarnas Lag and deserved their victory. The Lirarnas Lag players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
