In the 6th minute Lokman Sağlamtürk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahap Tezcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zikri Temizcan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vahap Tezcan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Lokman Sağlamtürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Vahap Tezcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Nihat İlsak managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's Alptuğ Rahim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 19 minutes, Murat Yavuz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü and the Newells Old Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. Murat Yavuz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Murat Yavuz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nihat İlsak skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Newells Old Boys booed when ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murat Yavuz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Lokman Sağlamtürk made a precise shot to the right of Vahap Tezcan. ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Vahap Tezcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny N'Diaye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Abdi Saygın Timur hit a great ball. Vahap Tezcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lokman Sağlamtürk in the 35th minute of the match. İlyas Başarman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nihat İlsak. Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

With a little luck, ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's Vahap Tezcan got control of the ball when Lokman Sağlamtürk tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü defense, Lokman Sağlamtürk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vahap Tezcan. The ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vahap Tezcan should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute, Newells Old Boys's Osman Ali Sağlam ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vahap Tezcan. Vahap Tezcan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. 66 minutes into the match, ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's goalkeeper Vahap Tezcan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lokman Sağlamtürk. Vahap Tezcan came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Newells Old Boys's Lokman Sağlamtürk. But to his dismay, Lokman Sağlamtürk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Nihat İlsak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaffar Özer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü got a freekick which was hit by Alptuğ Rahim. Vahap Tezcan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kenny N'Diaye in the 81st minute. Aykut Canser kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Yetkiner Savtur might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nihat İlsak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yetkiner Savtur ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute of the match Newells Old Boys got a corner. ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alptuğ Behram ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 92 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Lokman Sağlamtürk. Abdi Saygın Timur kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
