Babür Hamurcu charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Babür Hamurcu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Newells Old Boys getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Babür Hamurcu hit a great ball. In the 4th minute, Gürol Bozbey sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Newells Old Boys's Nihat İlsak didn't even have to move. After 7 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Aykut Canser. In the 12th minute Tacettin Revha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nihat İlsak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Tacettin Revha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nihat İlsak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sancar Aktemur came out and tried to block the shot, but Lokman Sağlamtürk slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tacettin Revha in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nihat İlsak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Tacettin Revha in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newells Old Boys's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tacettin Revha in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Zikri Temizcan hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the game, one of Newells Old Boys:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gürol Bozbey placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 47 minutes into the game, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Tacettin Revha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nihat İlsak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tacettin Revha made a kick off. Nihat İlsak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tacettin Revha went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Newells Old Boys were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alptuğ Behram took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Alptuğ Behram got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sancar Aktemur quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tacettin Revha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nihat İlsak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tacettin Revha, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 67 minutes into the game, Tacettin Revha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nihat İlsak. Tacettin Revha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. The audience was convinced that Kenny N'Diaye's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sancar Aktemur was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Sancar Aktemur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osman Ali Sağlam in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Babür Hamurcu. After 76 played minutes GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR got a freekick which was hit by Kandemir Özdilek. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tacettin Revha in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nihat İlsak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute of the game Babür Hamurcu made a throw-in which Zikri Temizcan played forward. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Tacettin Revha got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nihat İlsak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tacettin Revha in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tacettin Revha in the 88th minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Nihat İlsak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Newells Old Boys's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Tacettin Revha scored to the left of an out of position Nihat İlsak, making the score, 1-5. The supporters of Newells Old Boys booed when GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Merdan Topcu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
