Jarrett Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lamar Arthur in the 3rd minute of the match. Lamar Arthur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarrett Rosenberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cosmos Soccer Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lukasz Jazwiec was slow to take the kick. During this time Chard United's players had a chance to rest. 孙骋磊 was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Virgilio Kennedy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 21 minutes, Donovan Heath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosmos Soccer Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donovan Heath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Chard United's Randall Stevens got control of the ball when Nicky Cavazos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match, Donovan Heath tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Randall Stevens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donovan Heath to maneuver through the defense. 0-1 became the score in the 30th minute when Virgilio Kennedy elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Kennedy in the 34th minute of play. Lamar Arthur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Lukasz Jazwiec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Chard United booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Rush didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lukasz Jazwiec came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Chard United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lukasz Jazwiec couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Patrick Fontenot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Chard United made a substitution. Martin Craven replaced Lamar Arthur. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

56 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Craven. If Martin Craven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarrett Rosenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Kennedy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's Patrick Fontenot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Randall Stevens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Chard United's Virgilio Kennedy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarrett Rosenberg. That made the score 1-2 after 64 minutes of play. After 69 minutes, Virgilio Kennedy made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Virgilio Kennedy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Rosenberg having to interfere. Virgilio Kennedy succeeded in the game's 75th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-4. Marcus Rush hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Jarrett Rosenberg came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Chard United's Martin Craven. But to his dismay, Martin Craven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Donovan Heath got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.
