When Lamar Arthur came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Chard United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lamar Arthur couldn't finish the play. In the 34th match minute, C.S.M. Resita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregg Vertefeuille to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, C.S.M. Resita's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Kennedy came free, but Garrett Gladu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Resita players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chard United were winning 2-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chong Lamontagne was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Chard United's Garrett Gladu threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 孙骋磊, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chong Lamontagne in the 75th managed to get into a good position. Chong Lamontagne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randall Stevens having to interfere. Chard United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
