A nice corner shot did that Belton Trenoweth got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roman Rollins quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Adelaide's Douglas Christian got control of the ball when Vitinho Diniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cyryl Karpinski in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Douglas Christian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Cyryl Karpinski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Christian was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 34th minute Cyryl Karpinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Christian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Hickman was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Adelaide's goalkeeper Douglas Christian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 57 minutes, Vitinho Diniz made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Adelaide's Douglas Christian tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rdth minute of the game Cyryl Karpinski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Adelaide's Douglas Christian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeremy Palmington hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Douglas Christian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from J.C. Ogden in the 96th minute of play. Boca Juniors's Rich Jean was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Douglas Christian in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Boca Juniors had won after a very even match.
