The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Biagio Scoca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hercule Basque in the 11th minute of play forced Foot Ball Club di Roma's goalkeeper Alvaro Pardini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Perthes United were awarded a corner. Patrice Lambolez went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Perthes United's Patrice Lambolez to fire away a dangerous shot which Alvaro Pardini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rayanne Ros in the 19th minute of play forced Foot Ball Club di Roma's goalkeeper Alvaro Pardini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Foot Ball Club di Roma's Biagio Scoca got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Perthes United's Jean-Marie Sanquer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Perthes United from getting a goal against them. Jean-Marie Sanquer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niccolo Zaniolo went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Biagio Scoca in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jean-Marie Sanquer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Perthes United were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Foot Ball Club di Roma's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Patrice Lambolez took the corner. Perthes United's Loïc Curt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alvaro Pardini in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rayanne Ros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Pardini having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hercule Basque made a kick off. Foot Ball Club di Roma were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Perthes United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Biagio Di Marco took the corner. Biagio Di Marco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Marie Sanquer having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biagio Di Marco in the 60th minute of play forced Perthes United's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Sanquer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Biagio Scoca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-Marie Sanquer was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Hercule Basque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jean-Marie Sanquer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Biagio Scoca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Foot Ball Club di Roma's Biagio Scoca in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jean-Marie Sanquer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Biagio Scoca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Marie Sanquer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Di Marco in the 84th minute of play. Jean-Marie Sanquer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biagio Scoca in the 92nd minute of the match. Foot Ball Club di Roma were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Perthes United for a fine match.
