Mao Zhen Hong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zarco Lameiras in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Portugal in the 24th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Portugal to make the kick off.
