Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Palmiro Bettencourt in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Víctor Valdés prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th minute Klaus Van Mellart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víctor Valdés saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calaflores FC.'s Víctor Valdés played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lu Chen in the 12th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Klaus Van Mellart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Micaelense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klaus Van Mellart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Víctor Valdés took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palmiro Bettencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lu Chen scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Víctor Valdés, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Calaflores FC.'s Coronel Paredes in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Lu Chen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 32nd minute, Barros Cifuentes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gervásio Sousa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coronel Paredes in the 38th minute of play forced Atlético Micaelense's goalkeeper Gervásio Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Víctor Valdés made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palmiro Bettencourt in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Palmiro Bettencourt made a kick off. Vítor Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Víctor Valdés tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute Lu Chen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víctor Valdés saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Zubiaga came free, but Gervásio Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's goal looked a bit too open when Coronel Paredes came free, but Gervásio Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barros Cifuentes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gervásio Sousa having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Lamine Yamal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calaflores FC.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Lamine Yamal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervásio Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Víctor Valdés came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Micaelense's Klaus Van Mellart. But to his dismay, Klaus Van Mellart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Gaskon Rubio hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 91 minutes Atlético Micaelense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcos Zapater who took care of the corner kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atlético Micaelense had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
