The audience thought a goal was coming when Kadir Celilay got free with Eliseu Bragança in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute of the match, Kadir Celilay got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eliseu Bragança was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 32nd minute, Zeferino Pimentel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U.D. Mancini's Rudolf Esken managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fabrice Dewitte in the 37 minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After 55 played minutes Campus Douro Academy got a freekick which was hit by Victor Sousa. U.D. Mancini's Brion Macia was substituted for Nemesio Quiroga. The supporters of U.D. Mancini booed when Campus Douro Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Fabrice Dewitte threw the ball into play from the sideline. U.D. Mancini's Rudolf Esken quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The corner led to U.D. Mancini's Lütfi Selahaddin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Pedrosa in the 85th minute of play forced Campus Douro Academy's goalkeeper Eliseu Bragança to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Campus Douro Academy getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rodolfo Linhares hit a great ball. Rodolfo Montay struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Gonsalve Flores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campus Douro Academy. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Machado during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
