The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samuel Evarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romano Bautista in the 5th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Jonas Frutos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hermosillo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Frutos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salbatore Adelsdorfer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ezmundo Osorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernabe Ladio kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Ulryk Redisz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Evarado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Lirayén were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Hermosillo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hugo Orlando Quiroga took the corner. After some careless play in the Hermosillo FC defense, Romano Bautista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Evarado. The Hermosillo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Evarado should have stopped the shot. Mauricio Ekaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermosillo FC's Samuel Evarado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezmundo Osorio in the 26th minute of play. Twan Sans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauricio Ekaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Salbatore Adelsdorfer made a huge save. Salbatore Adelsdorfer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauricio Ekaitz's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the game, Hugo Orlando Quiroga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Samuel Evarado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ramon María Guisado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Evarado having to interfere. Salbatore Adelsdorfer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Ekaitz in the 38th minute of the match. Deportivo Lirayén's Salbatore Adelsdorfer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Frutos in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th minute, Hugo Orlando Quiroga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Deportivo Lirayén were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romano Bautista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ezmundo Osorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romano Bautista came free, but Samuel Evarado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Evarado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezmundo Osorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Romano Bautista recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samuel Evarado. Samuel Evarado didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Deportivo Lirayén's Ramon María Guisado shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Chico Che hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. When Romano Bautista came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Deportivo Lirayén fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romano Bautista couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Deportivo Lirayén's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Ekaitz came free, but Salbatore Adelsdorfer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Lirayén getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ezmundo Osorio hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Lirayén left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hermosillo FC.
