The audience was convinced that Etxeberri Camara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conny Blom was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 45th minute Etxeberri Camara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, IRON WORLD CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Chago came free, but Basarab Marincean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albeiro Usuriaga to make the kick off. Albeiro Usuriaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. IRON WORLD CLUB's Basarab Marincean proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save IRON WORLD CLUB from getting a goal against them. Horaţiu Amânaloae received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Basarab Marincean came out and tried to block the shot, but Horaţiu Amânaloae slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 65th minute. Ruperto Ugaitz's late challenge caught a IRON WORLD CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Ugaitz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, Realsamesta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Ugaitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Ramírez Laureano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Etxeberri Camara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Realsamesta's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
